It’s back: our “Electric Scooters: Any Questions?” panel returns next week. This time, it’s the turn of the e-scooter companies themselves to answer your questions.

On Tuesday 24 November 2020, at 10am (GMT), Zag will host panel discussion to delve into best practice and lessons learned when it comes to e-scooter sharing.

The comprehensive panel includes many of the providers currently running trials in the UK, as well as leaders in positioning technology and smart parking strategies.

The nine companies represented on the panel include Bird, Dott, Lime, Link, Tier, Voi, Wind, Zipp and Zwings, and we’re very pleased that more than half of the panellists are women.

Panellists will be answering the following four questions:

What three things would you do to assure safety in a major city? Grace Packard, Principal Consultant, Momentum Transport Consultancy

Is geofencing a flawed technology when it comes to safety-critical functions? Brian Matthews, Head of Transport Innovation, Milton Keynes Council

There are questions over the sustainability of swappable batteries. What are you doing to address these? Tracey Vickers, Head of Sustainable Transport, Essex County Council

What’s more important to cities: scooter design, operator experience or investment rounds? [Questioner name private]

The conference will be staged virtually. Pre-submitted questions from the audience will be considered, with an audio podcast published later in the week. The conference is free to attend but places are limited.
